The 2006 revision of the GOLD Report, Global Strategy for Diagnosis, Management, and Prevention of COPD, was launched on November 19, 2006, at a symposium in Kyoto, Japan, that was part of the Asia-Pacific Society of Respirology conference. Dr. Yoshinosuke Fukuchi, who is the GOLD National Leader for Japan, a member of the GOLD Executive Committee, and President of APSR, hosted the symposium.
